Mother Vine Box Set — Amazonian Glycerine Extracts

The Mother Vine in all her forms. Six sacred glycerine extracts, one curated collection — for those ready to deepen their relationship with the most revered plant teacher of the Amazon.

This box set brings together the three primary varieties of Banisteriopsis Caapi alongside three of her most powerful traditional synergies — each blend offering a different facet of the Mother Vine's medicine. Whether you are new to Caapi or already deep in relationship with her, this collection offers a complete way to explore her many expressions.

Includes: Yellow Mother Vine (Cielo), Black Mother Vine, Red Mother Vine (Muricata Red), Shiwawaku & Mother Vine, Ayahuma & Mother Vine, and Bobinsana & Mother Vine.

Banisteriopsis Caapi — The Sacred Mother Vine

Banisteriopsis Caapi is one of the most revered master plants in the Amazon, known as the Mother Vine — the foundational plant of Ayahuasca ceremony, and a profound teacher entirely in her own right. There are several varieties of Caapi, each with their own distinct character and energy.

Yellow Caapi — Cielo is the most widely used and well known variety, often called Cielo meaning sky. It is the traditional starting point — the vine most commonly used by mestizo curanderos and the variety most often recommended for those new to working with Caapi. Calming and introspective, it offers a more accessible experience well suited to personal growth and emotional exploration. When cut in cross section, Yellow Caapi typically shows seven sections — a number associated in many Amazonian traditions with spiritual wholeness and completion.

Black Caapi is one of the most enigmatic and respected varieties of the sacred vine. It is associated with depth, transformation, grounding and personal evolution — frequently linked to shadow work, the process of bringing unconscious patterns into awareness so they may be understood and integrated. Practitioners describe Black Caapi as a demanding but compassionate teacher, encouraging confrontation with the aspects of ourselves we habitually avoid.

Red Caapi — Muricata Red is the most grounding and physically stabilising of the Caapi varieties. Where the yellow vine tends toward the more visionary and expansive, Muricata Red works with gravity, depth and ancestral strength — the variety most associated with emotional resilience, breaking deep-seated patterns and cultivating inner fortitude during times of serious transition.

All three varieties contain harmala alkaloids — harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine — natural MAO-inhibitors associated with mood support, emotional clarity and the brain's capacity for forming new neural pathways.

Shiwawaku & Mother Vine

Shiwawaku, also known as Shihuahuaco, is a towering hardwood tree of the Amazon revered for its strength, longevity and nurturing presence. Combined with Caapi, this synergy brings together heart-opening expansiveness with grounded spiritual insight — Shiwawaku's nurturing quality balancing Caapi's clearing and restructuring work. A blend well suited to emotional healing, trauma release and deepening intuition, while protecting sensitive energy fields throughout the process.

Ayahuma & Mother Vine

Ayahuma, the Cannonball Tree, is one of the Amazon's most protective and grounding master plants — a guardian spirit known for releasing stored trauma and anchoring the energy field firmly into the earth. Combined with Caapi's emotional restructuring, this synergy supports those doing deep healing work — releasing what has been held, while remaining grounded and protected throughout the process. Ayahuma's deep connection to the earth amplifies Caapi's heart-centred support and resilience.

Bobinsana & Mother Vine

Bobinsana, the heart opener of the Amazon, is a water spirit associated with the mermaids of the rivers — gentle, feminine and deeply connected to dreaming and emotional healing. Paired with Caapi, this is one of the most beloved combinations in Amazonian plant medicine — Caapi clears and restructures, Bobinsana fills the space with warmth, compassion and vivid dreaming. Available in both 1:1 (balanced) and 5:1 (higher potency) depending on your intention and experience.

Why Glycerine

All extracts in this set are alcohol-free glycerine preparations. Glycerine is a natural plant-derived preservative that draws out and holds the active compounds of each plant without alcohol — naturally sweet, gentle on the digestive system and well suited to those avoiding alcohol or seeking a softer daily preparation.

How to Use

5 drops under the tongue twice daily, away from food and drink, for each extract you choose to work with. We recommend working with one blend at a time rather than combining several in a single day, allowing each plant's distinct character to be fully felt and understood. Many people choose to work through the set sequentially — spending several weeks with each blend before moving to the next — building a comprehensive relationship with the Mother Vine in all her expressions.

Keep a notebook to track your experience with each blend. The differences between varieties and synergies are often subtle but significant, and tracking them deepens your understanding of how each plant works specifically with you.
