Piñón Colorado is one of the lesser-known but deeply respected master plants of the Western Amazon. For generations it has been worked with by Shipibo and other Amazonian traditions as a powerful ally for cleansing heavy energies, strengthening spiritual protection and cultivating unwavering inner resolve. Unlike plants that gently comfort or nourish, Piñón Colorado is regarded as a direct and uncompromising teacher, one that challenges fear, clears energetic congestion and helps restore clarity where confusion has taken hold. 

Traditional Uses

Within Amazonian plant medicine, Piñón Colorado has long been valued as both a medicinal and ceremonial plant. Traditionally it has been used to support digestive health, soothe inflammation and assist with the care of wounds and skin conditions, with different parts of the plant finding a place in local herbal practice across tropical South America. It has also been recognised for its antimicrobial and antiparasitic qualities in traditional medicine. 

Its greatest reputation, however, lies within the world of master plant dietas.

In the Shipibo tradition, Piñón Colorado is considered a serious teacher plant, often chosen when a person seeks profound energetic cleansing and greater spiritual protection. It is traditionally worked with to dissolve fear, paranoia and emotional heaviness while strengthening the energetic boundaries of the practitioner. About This Tincture

Our Piñón Colorado tincture is prepared at a true 1:2 ratio — one part carefully selected plant material to two parts organic alcohol.

Most tinctures available today are produced at a 1:5 ratio. By producing ours at 1:2, significantly more plant is captured in every bottle, resulting in a richer and more concentrated extract.

Prepared in small batches by hand with care and respect for both the plant and the traditions from which it comes.

How to Use

Take 5 drops under the tongue twice daily, away from food and drink. Hold briefly before swallowing.

Piñón Colorado is traditionally approached with consistency and intention rather than large quantities. Many people choose to work with the plant over several weeks alongside meditation, journalling, breathwork or other reflective practices, allowing space for its teachings to unfold gradually.
